Senior Chemical Operations Consultant
India Rotation Assignment, 3 Weeks On, 6 Weeks Off, 12 hour shifts
We’re supporting a short term overseas assignment in India and need someone senior enough to take control quickly and keep everything moving.
This role will suit someone who’s comfortable being the person others rely on when things actually need to work, and knows the pitfalls to look out for.
Dates
27th April to 22nd May (including travel)
Followup handover 3 weeks later, including documentation and one night working alongside your replacement
What you’ll be doing
This is a mature business cover role, and an established structure, team and suppliers. But it needs someone who can step in, apply judgment, and keep standards where they should be.
Around 60% of the role is focused on managing chemical suppliers and contracts. The rest is making sure the operations actually deliver day to day, coordinating chemists across shifts, keeping performance on track, and stepping in where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement chemical dosage rates in accordance with the Chemical Management System (CMS) contract
- Monitor chemical performance and recommend dosage adjustments where targets are not being met
- Drive cost optimisation through informed dosage and treatment recommendations
- Prepare and present performance reports covering Fluid Separation, Solids Deposition, Inorganic Scale, Corrosion, and Microbiological Control
- Coordinate with company staff and CMS contractor personnel on chemical program implementation
- Maintain documentation for Chemical Management change programs
- Participate in chemical performance review meetings
What we’re really looking for
Someone who:
- Has managed chemical suppliers and contracts in a live operation
- Is comfortable organising and directing teams across shifts
- Has field experience in oil & gas processing or Production Chemical industries
- Can take ownership quickly
